Carl Davis

Carl Davis composed the original series music for The World at War.

Carl Davis is an American born conductor and composer who has made his home in the UK since 1961. A conductor with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, he also regularly conducts the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has written music for over 100 television programs and is widely credited with the revival of silent film, having created a number of scores for films starring Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd and Buster Keaton to international acclaim.
